Hey!👋I'm Tamara
I've recently returned from living in Munich where I worked as a Product Designer.
I have experience in working in the Insurance and Energy industries and have a background in Nursing. I've always had a passion for the creative side of things, and I knew I wanted to follow my interest in design which has led me to Product Design.
In my spare time I like to go hiking, relax with my family, and play Piano and Cello.
My Experience
Some highlights from my work at Epilot include:
- Designed illustrations for a white-label product which enabled energy clients to improve their customer acquisition. The success of the MVP resulted in further investment in the white-label product.
- Worked cross functionally to help design a data table with filterable options, directly improving how businesses managed their workflows within the cloud platform.
- Designed and created a white-label low-code tool for energy companies to improve their customer acquisition and satisfaction.
- Streamlined the customer journey of the grid sign-up process within a cloud-based B2B software environment.
- Worked collaboratively to plan and run user testing sessions to gather insights and refine design solutions, demonstrating a focus on B2B and B2C user needs.
As a freelance designer, my main project was the redesign of a Munich-based business coaching site. The project aimed to create a more streamlined experience with a focus on improving information architecture and brand presentation. The final design was very successful in achieving these goals and led to a higher rate of customer inquiries.
During this time period I relocated to Germany, travelled, and completed a full time course with Career Foundry to progress my career, later leading to a job in Product Design.
When I began my role in the Learning Design team there was an issue with staff attrition.
My role as a Learning Designer involved:
- Collaborated within a team to redesign and develop a 12-week onboarding program, contributing user-centred design skills to re-brand internal communications. Our impactful design work, resulting from cross-functional input, resulted in a nomination from the Personal Injury Education Foundation
- Presented and briefed with company executives to update on progress of training overhaul throughout re-design process
- User-centred re-design led to improved retention rates of staff.
